Conférence | Astronomy : Planets Uranus and Neptune - Ville de La Malbaie
La Malbaie
Duration: Under 2 hours
Free
Presented by Hugues Lacombe of the Charlevoix Astronomy Club. Uranus and Neptune are unique. Uranus lies on its side, and its two poles alternately point directly towards the Sun. Neptune's mass influences the orbits of objects in the Kuyper Belt, starting with the dwarf planet Pluto. And then there's Neptune's large moon, Triton, which orbits the planet in the wrong direction. So many mysteries! To better understand the current state of affairs, Mr. Lacombe will review our knowledge about these planets and detail ongoing research. Free admission, no registration required. Seating is limited to the room's capacity. Conference is in French.
