Du Gouffre trail hiking at MRC de Charlevoix
Baie-Saint-Paul
Duration: Under 2 hours
Free
The Sentier du Gouffre whose name refers to the Valley, Park and du Gouffre River, traverses diversified environments, whether agricultural, forested, or riparian. To reach the Sentier du Gouffre, you must take the multipurpose trail Robert-Leblanc on approximately 1.9km departing from du Gouffre park.
In season the trail meanders between ferns that can reach a 1.6m height. A halt with picnic tables is available. The trail then continues a long section in reverse slope and a farm road, then delves into a cedar grove where another halt welcomes you with an overhanging view on the valley and village of Baie-Saint-Paul.
