Des Pointes trail hiking at MRC de Charlevoix

Des Pointes trail begins in Saint-Urbain as the extension of Les Florents trail. It crosses fields with, in the backdrop, the village, church steeple and mountains. Meandering between several varieties of forest trees, it meets de l’Église stream and leads to a lookout with a view of a cascade and rocky notch. Farther, the trail transitions into a climb, going ever more deeply into the boreal forest. Several gateways facilitate the crossing of marshlands. One of them will let you admire the beavers handy work. Shortly after kilometer 9, there is a panorama on the mountains and the valley to the North-East. The trail then goes down to a rest stop on des Pointes road, then to the banks of Le Petit Bras stream, where a picnic area invites to relaxation.
